Experiencing an attraction to minors can be isolating and frightening, particularly when shame or fear of being misunderstood prevents someone from seeking support.
An attraction, thought, urge, and action are not the same. Therapy can provide a place to discuss these experiences while maintaining clear expectations around safety, accountability, and the protection of children.
I provide voluntary, non-forensic therapy for minor-attracted persons whose needs fall within my scope. Clients may seek treatment without having acted on their attractions or may have a previous sexual-offense history that is not connected to a current court order.
I approach this work with both compassion and accountability. Reducing shame does not mean minimizing risk or excusing harmful behavior. It can make honesty, prevention, and responsible decision-making more possible.
